How unreal the whole thing seems
세상은 참으로 상상속의 것처럼 보여요

Can we be living in a world
종이로 만든 세상에서

made of paper mache
살수는 없을까요.

Everything is clean and so neat
모든 것이 깔끔하고 깨끗할텐데.

Anything that's wrong can be just swept away
잘못된 것은 그냥 치워버리고

Spray it with cologne
향수를 뿌려버리면

And the whole world smells sweet
온 세상에서 좋은 냄새가 날텐데요.

Ice-cream cones and candy bars
아이스크림도 있고, 사탕도 있어요.

Swings and things like bicycles and cars
그네나 자전거나 자동차 같은 것들도 있구요.

There is a sale on happiness
행복을 세일해서 팔기도 해요.

You buy two and it costs less
두개를 사면 오히려 돈이 덜 들죠.

Read the papers keep aware
가죽 의자에서 편히 쉬면서

While you're lounging in your leather chair
신문을 보세요.

And if things don't look so good
잘 안되는 것 같으면

Shake your head and knock on wood
머리를 흔들고 나무를 두드려보세요.

Like paper mache
종이로 만든 것처럼.
